I have been or should I say was a long time member of ARS before I came here to Anandtech and for a long time did not frequent the ARS forum... (found I prefered the company here by far) But while checking the Agora section I noticed several people crapping on Compuwiz1 (Steve) and stood up for him and got flamed up and down for it... (Compuwiz1 emailed me to thank me for helping) But what concerned me the most was the ref`s to Anandtech, which they think is a bunch of pirates with no cooth... What kind of crap is that??? I wont say some of the other things they posted and do not wish to start a war but these guy`s seem to be having a God complex???

I appoligize to the "Mod`s" if this is not in the proper place to but it seems to be a Forum issue (not venting but making it known...) & please let me know if this is wrong and explain it to me???


I guess my question is why do people think they are so much better than others??? They almost make you feel like they are the Gods from above YOU...

Well done for standing up for him, I know many people might have just been weak and 'gone along with it'. I find the ARS forums to be nowhere near as friendly as these ones...I didn't stick around there long.

I will agree with you on prefering the company here. Though I couldn't care less about what the people on the ARS forum or any other think of us. If they've got time to trash us, then they should have plenty of time to get a life. As far as I'm concerned, I'm happy being here. By the way, just because I've got a parrot on my shoulder does not make me a pirate.

This is now the biggest computer hardware/software/aficionado forum on the the net. Period. Jealousy &amp; bad-mouthing are expected. It shouldn't lower our standard of behavior.

Well I would say its the biggest and the best (Anandtech that is) and I do thank all that have looked and taken the time to post their thoughts... The high ranking members here are a lot more understanding and seem to really look after one another... ARS seems to just have their tight knit little group and dont even know some of their own people???

BTW the RC5 comment might just have something to do with it

Also I think I`ll take the &quot;Who Cares&quot; and contribute were it really counts &quot;Here on Anandtech...&quot;
