Do you know this game???

I remember years ago, back in the early 80's, I used to go to the libary to play this pc game. It was kinda a first person RPG. You had to go in a forest, and try to kill a vampire. I remember there was items you had to find, one of them was in an old stump. There was also some goblin-thing that you had to tell a password to just to get by him. The game was on the old 5 1/2 floppy.

I hope some people here have a clue as to what I'm talking about.

It didn't have any animated action in it. Just pictures and text. You typed out all commands.

I remember I had an old Kings Quest game that was just pictures and text. You would like try to guess at all these commands to do until you typed in the right word. It got really frustrating, so I quit. Thus, I have no idea if that's the game you were talking about and I'm sorry for wasting your time

I looked up Kings Quest, and that seems pretty close. I'd like to find some screen shots to make sure though.

EDIT: Found some...I think thats it. The old pc I played on wasn't color, but this bridge scene looks almost like what I remember.

I do remember that in the game, you start out in some house, and in the house, there is like some library room. Well somewhere in the library room, you can pull on a book and it opens up a secret trap door that leads down into the basement.

Looks like it plays in DOS, which means XP won't like it, even if I find a copy.

here's another old game question for you all:

You controlled some guy who had to run around this mountain catching all these little elves in his hat. I think you also had to collect these other items, but you had to capture all of these things before you could go higher up the mountain. So pretty much you just kept climing higher up the mountain and I sort of remember the boss at the end, but it would be really hard to explain. Anyone know what i'm talking about? The name might have something to do with In the Hall of the Mountain King

Treasure Mountain!!!!

You were this guy with a blue jacket, and the collar wsa flipped up, covering your face. You also had a red baseball cap on backwards I think? And you would catch the elves in your net. And you threw down coins to see what was behind trees. You would get clues from the elves about which trees to look behind. Like big/small, and the number of berries it had on it.

Sorry, jsut had to reminisce about it!

oh man, that's totally it. Dang that brings back memories.

Wasn't there like a whole series with that same character? Cause I remember another game that I think was with the same guy, and you would go around this school and find these robots, and you would have to solve all these math puzzles, and in the end you had to like figure out which robot was the bad guy. Remember that one?

Actually, I don't know what you just said. My Korean roommate told me that phrase, I know what it means, but I grew the balls to put it in my sig. So no, I'm a guy
