Not that I know of, although most likely someone I know probably does have the HIV.

My exwife has HIV. She got it well after we divorced. Unprotected sex life with a "wannabe" biker 2nd husband, they were into "wife swapping" and sharing needles. HIV took him out and she doesn't have long to go. Do I feel sorry for her ? Nope.

Yes - my stepbrother. Got it pretty well under control with the "cocktail" for quite a few years now.

I knew somebody who died of AIDS back in the '80s; it was very sad because he was a nice guy.

I've had the AIDS test four times. And that ****** is scary, doesn't matter what you've been doing. So I don't get the regular AIDS test anymore, i get the roundabout AIDS test. I call up my friend Brian and say "Brian, do you know anyone that has AIDS?" "No." "Cool, cause you know me."

RIP Mitch Hedberg

Edit: Sorry for your loss Astaroth :(

Wasn't really a loss. I had a crappy retail job when I was in high school, and this guy was the store manager. He was a flaming homosexual, and was funny as hell. He didn't deserve AIDS at all.

I basically meet a new person with HIV and/or AIDS everytime I goto work...I work in a hospital in Detroit, so I could say I know plenty, I have a particular patient that I've been working with the past few days, he has full blown AIDS, syphilis, tuberculosis, pneumocysitic pneumonia, and desseminated herpes(basically herpes over his entire body)....basically he's in very rough shape and he's one of the worst ones I've dealt with, tho I watched another AIDS patient die a few weeks back from what amounted to more or less a common respiratory infection...

Just part of the job I guess

My uncle Fonzie died from it years ago. (My grandmother was a big Happy Days fan, still has an autographed picture of Henry Winkler hanging up in her house). I barely knew him though, I reckon my dad mostly kept us away from him since he was gay.

I don't *know* anyone with HIV, but I come across people with HIV about once a week at our local ED.

It's a good day if I goto the floor and none of the 20 patients have HIV/AIDS.....but I mean I also work in an urban hospital so it's almost expected to run into HIV, honestly it's more common to have 2 or 3 patients(or more) having HIV/AIDS on a given shift, but like I said it's part of working in an urban setting
