Through my subscription to Zone Alarm, I got an email saying that I could buy System Mechanic at a much cheaper price (about $20).

This software is supposed to increase PC's performance. The web site is here :here.

For someone who does not know too much about PCs, do you think it makes sense or is it just a waste of money and this will be another program that will use my RAM for nothing ?

generally it's probably a waste of money and time. I think i trialed System Mechanic way back and it wasn't all that great.

For years i ran Tune Up Utilities 2006 and it was solid. THen i trashed it because i only used it to manage XP themes. Now i just use CCleaner and let the money i saved ride on black.
