I'm not much of a fighter. I tend to stay out of trouble. But I'll fight only when I have to.

Fight like Chuck Norris or brawl like Spider-Man? Two very different things.

Why is it a 'life goal'? Why not just walk into a dojo and say "I wanna train"?

I've never understood that about people when I taught - "oh I've wanted to do [style x] for the longest time, blahblahblah" - we're here, why not do it?! . . . oh well.

Wow, more than half of people voted yes? I doubt it...

Knowing how to fight means _training_ people, years or at least a few months of it. 50% of people do _not_ have this.

I haven't had any professional training, but I have studied about 5 different karate books for about a year and know most of the basic moves. I try not to fight, but if I had to, I don't think I'd do too bad.

I'm thinking of taking kick boxing. I'm not going to use the kick boxing skills to beat people up randomly, but I know that the skills may come in handy one day.

This is a online tech forum; of course no one (incld. myself) does here - this is purely a subjective matter.

Would I be a force to be reckoned with if I was in a kindergarten? Hopefully (you never know, with what happened to Kramer and all) -

But would I be a contender amongst some people in Pride or proven masters? I think not.

But would I, and could I, mercilessly devastate all people online with a simple flick of the eye, or possibly my undeniable HUGE wang*? Without a doubt!

I've studied martial arts in high school, and I've received training including arm bars, take downs, firearms, and FST (Field Sobriety Test) procedures. So I'd rather not get in a fight--much easier and safer to use my OC or Asp. But if I had to, I think I could live through it.
