They have petcocks, no fuel gauge, a manual choke, it wasn't until the early 1970s that they had starter motors and even far more recently that they've had fuel injection. They've always had hand controls for the throttle, clutch and braking system.

I said motorcycles, Harley Davidson just started putting fuel injection in their Sportsters only a couple years ago, the bike I have got fuel injection in 2003, prior to that they were all carb'd, and I've never even heard of a diesel motorcycle.

Yeah, but isn't that just because HD is way behind the times? Haven't other makers (Honda, Yamaha, etc) been doing FI in bikes for a while now?
