what are we the only people on ATOT with a wife?

[edit fixed]

No I have a wife but I also respect her privacy and dont need to know what she is doing at work and with whom and what was said. If she wishes to disclose it to me and tell me everything thats fine but I trust her and dont feel the need to controll her in such ways.

omg are you serious? You think I WANT TO HEAR IT? Dude, I HAVE TO HEAR IT. I dont get a choice.

Yeah sorry about that. I miss took it as though you were very demanding and wanted that info so you could have controll over her. My bad and I revised my reply.

I've got the low-down on everything from health problems to problem children ... I've also got nicknames for them; right now we've got Ms. Hypochondriac, Ms. Klepto, and Ms. I've-got-a-druggie-daughter-that-I-don't-talk-to. Not terribly original, but then again, they are accurate!

I don't share quite so much with my wife on my workplace, mainly because I don't particularly want to talk about work when I get home ... :)

Ooooh, boy, does she get pissy if she doesn't get to talk about it, too. It's a regular routine. Every day, for the hour following her arrival home from work, she is talking and I am 'listening'. Heck, I probably know HER coworkers better than MY coworkers (women have this thing with sharing their lives with each other that guys just DON'T).

isn't it that way with all women?

for a guy, "how was your day?" leads to one of two answers: "good" or "bad".

There is a lot of truth to that. It also irritates her that I do not share my day with her. I mean, she wants that hour or so when she gets home to be her talking about her day and me talking about mine, comparison/contrast/etc, bonding moment or something.

But what am I going to talk about? Day was either "good" or "bad" or (more often) "meh".

???

Why do I have to have an emotional reaction to WORK!?!

The lady only has like 4-5 co-workers, so yeah I hear everything. Like those in the thread, I mention very little about what goes on between my coworkers and myself to her...largely because *I* don't care about that stuff so I feel no need to burden her with that information.
