If you do how far back should you keep copies?
I have copies going back to 2002, I thought I might just keep a year back.

Mine are on iPay by ADP. I don't get copies of them on paper anymore.
I've 20 years worth in a stack 3.5" high.I do. It's not like it's that much more space in my filing cabinet.

Like someone already said, I scan them along with my other financial stuff to PDF and archive each year to a CD. It's a lot of effort, but well worth it when you have to go back and look for stuff.

I been doing that myself. But its a lot of work. Right now i'm probably half a year or more behind in what needs to be scanned. That would take a couple hours to do.
