I have to believe that some of our more outrageous characters are going to great lengths to create a persona online, even if it's just an extension of their real character. Where do you fall on the chart?
Do you intentionally make yourself look like a douche online?

This is me.
But also, somewhat of an extension of me.
I'm basically how I am here, I make no real effort to make a character (though I've been tempted, for the lulz). But I'm a little exaggerated here in some regards because I'm more comfortable getting a chance to spell out what I want to say versus say it up front without pause, so a lot of in-person conversation is quite a bit shortened, unless drunk and then I'm able to talk just as lengthily as I type.
But also, I tend to surround myself with certain predictable characters, and depending on the person, I just don't converse with them certain topics unless they initiate, and I often try to avoid offering my views to most people because I know it'll be wasted breath on my part. Here, text is permanently viewable to multiple parties so I feel my text isn't so much as wasted since someone at some point but just accept my brand of logic. That's the goal at least, short of bottling it and selling it to the masses (one day, some day).

And trolling can be fun to. Drawing the ire of someone with such obvious baiting can be oh so glorious if done properly. I don't get the troll chance often but it's epic when I do.

To whom are you referring? Been bitten recently? I can't imagine you'd let them get away with it...
As far as the poll, a little of everything. I can get aggressive at times but can be pussy cat at others. This is probably an extension... As far as intentionally trying to create a douche persona, no.

Rolo's thread about "how does one get to be a douchebag" prompted the thread, but it's not about him.
It's easy to throw everyone who is the least bit edgy into the douche (fuck, I hate that term) category. But since we can't get visual clues as to a person's current state online, it's hard to do otherwise. There are some for whom the edgy condition may be temporarily caused by a related or unrelated event and others who are, to varying degrees, just naturally pissy.Nobody in particular. Hmmm, nope, do not intend to be douchey online, hope I do not come across as douchey.. In real life, Im much the same as I am on here - except probably less pretty
