I have a bad habit of doing this myself. I get bored with what I own after a little while, then look up the hot deals and buy something new. My wallet hates me for this. Anyone else here have this problem?

Yeah, that's how I bought my truck.

That's also how I bought the supercharger for my truck.

that's also how I bought almost everything else.

I'm terrible about it, really. But at least I do my part to support our economy!

Uh, yeah. I just PMed a guy to buy his Sennheiser headphones because I am studying and bored to death.

I'm terrible for that.

No. When I get bored with computer games and forums I just stare at the screen for a while until I find something to do or go to bed.

EDIT: The last thing I bought was an $8 optical mouse in 2004, IIRC.

Yup. I need new stuff. Stuff that does different things than my old stuff. Stuff that does the same things in different ways. Stuff that does the same things in exactly the same way but looks different. Stuff that does the same things in exactly the same way and looks exactly the same but IS NEWER.

Man I'm in for a lifetime of misery...

I tend to do that, and then decide "now isn't the time to buy", and then a few months later a friend happens to mention he got one in passing for $dirtcheap and links me.

9 months ago I was shopping for USB GPS pucks. Too expensive. Got one for a coupla bucks that way last night.

I usually head out to the stores if I'm super bored, to do some impulse buying. But then once I'm there and realize that I'm just wasting money on crap I don't need, I usually head back home empty handed...

Yeah, I'm looking at a new DSLR (Canon 30D) but prices haven't come down much on them yet so I'm going to wait another month and see if they drop in price a bit. I found a place online but, of course, they don't have just the camera body at their advertised price but they do have some kits available with a bunch of extra junk I don't need or want for hundreds of dollars more...what were the odds...
