Do you have warm or cold skin?

I'm working on this theory and I'm hoping the gubment will give me billions to research it, but until then, I have the OT forum as my research lab.
Do you have warm skin or cold skin? Do you feel warm all the time or cold all the time? How warm or cold is your bf/gf/wife/baby daddy.

I'm always cold and my girlfriend is always warm. My theory is that people can only be with the opposite, so two fatties sweating all the time is bad and two emo ice skeletons would be bad as well.

People say I have cold skin. Every time my mom sees me barefoot on cold tile she looks at my nasty purple feet and says "omg D:".

Research done on ATOT probably will get you a grant from the man, that's the sad part. Now, let me help you with your research.

I always feel hot, always. I remember a friend giving me a shoulder rub and she said "wow are your shoulders warm." On the other hand, I get cold very easy because of it. My skin is always trying to cool off, so if I get in a breeze or some cold air the evaporative process chills me very quickly. (Then I get the chills, and they warm me back up like they are supposed to.)

I owe it all to anxiety. I get anxious, hot, and start to sweat.

Your theory about being with somebody that is the other way doesn't work though. Same woman that gave me the shoulder massage was always cold, loved to turn the heater on in the car all the time. That just made me even hotter and then I would really sweat, and the anxiety would get worse from the sweating, so I would sweat a little more.

Have you seen the movie Along Came Polly? The scene in the restaurant is me in a nutshell when I get anxious. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=um_GKVKLmLc

I sweat just like that, seriously. :\

P.S. I hope you get your grant from the gubment!

Warm in summer, cold in winter, I guess. Never really noticed. I'd say more warm than cold though.

And is this a parody thread? 😛

I'm always hot, I think I run about 20 degrees warmer than most people. So I'm still wearing shorts when it's 50 degrees out.

inb4 "hurrr that's not cold I live in the northeast and it snows 300 days of the year hurr". I'm in California and that's cold here. come at me bro

I would say I'm warm but I don't sweat a lot. I tend to feel cold when in AC and such I prefer to be in a warm environment.

It depends on the air temperature. If it's above somewhere around 75°F, my skin's warm.
Closer to 70°, and it's cold. Apparently there's some evaporative cooling going on, as my skin temp can even drop several degrees below ambient. (Thermocouple-measured.)

I'm a wuss when it comes to cold as I don't have much body fat. My skin is usually warm to the touch though.

:'( R.I.P.

I guess it really depends on the temperature of the water I happen to be skinny dipping in! :hmm:

In OT one needs rather thick skin, which is an insulator. 😉

It's not unusual for people to comment on how cold my hands are when we shake hands.

In the office though lots of people think they keep it too cold while I'm perfectly comfortable.

I mean when people around here have their jackets on I'm still wearing short sleeves and shorts. Not that my internal body temperature is 20 degrees higher :hmm:

I'm the same way, I remember being at this wedding reception where they had the AC cranked, it was probably around 15 degrees in there. Everybody was freezing and I was sweating. Does not help that I was in a dress shirt, which does not allow the body to breathe, but so was everyone else.

Damn that sucks. Thanks for the info

I'm a warm. That's why I moved to the coast where it's 60-70 all the time. My GF is warm also. It works well for the most part as when i'm hot, she is as well as we turn on the AC, no fighting. Though it can suck in bed when we are both too hot.
