Do you have tons of photos that need scanning?

Well then run out and buy the HP Photosmart S20xi. I just got mine today and love it. It's so easy it's amazing. Just put the photo in the slot, it feeds it, previews it (no alignment needed by you) and all you need to do is click two buttons. Installation on XP went flawlessly.

It's really that easy. I'm just so thrilled because I have shoeboxes full of pictures that need scanning and w/ a flatbed it's pretty cumbersome - this is really amazingly simple.

I picked mine up at GlobalComputer.com for $69 + tax and shipping. Buy.com sells it for over $400!!!!!

I'm done ;-)

I'm looking for something with a bit more quality to scan my "tons of photos" (I'm a very-trigger-happy amateur photographer who desparately needs to replace his film SLR with a DSLR to avoid spending thousands on film ;)).

The Epson Perfection 3200 looks pretty good, actually. :)

Tried using a film scanner? The Acer ScanWits are great. I have a 2720s and print museum quality 8x10's (and acceptable 22 inch panoramic prints) from my Epson printer...
