I believe you must take a basic safety class which is about $150, not sure what the license itself costs.

I believe you're able to own a firearm in MA and be a permanent resident, however, it can vary by town as to whether you actually will get an FID.

local PD could probably tell you or go to a gun shop.

Actually, we were trying to get to a friend's place in Milton and someone had the great idea of "taking the shortcut" through Mattapan.

Worst. Shortcut. Evar.
