Just wondering who here is using the Epox 8k7a board. If you could tell me whether or not you have it and what you think about it, it would be nice.

I have it and it has been a great board. It isn't the fastest out there right now but you shouldn't have any problems with it.

it's been an awesome board since i've owned it from the summer. the debug LEDs were crucial in telling me what went wrong when i first put together my computer but i haven't needed it since i got my computer in order. overclocking options are abundant and the board is really stable. i've run the comp for 20+ days periods without rebooting.

I have the board, I'm just wondering who else out there has it and likes it. Where do I see the results of my poll?

I've had this motherboard for about 6 months and it has been great. Totally stable, and the ACPI stuff works flawlessly. I suspend to ram everytime I leave the machine for an extended period of time and sometimes don't reboote W2k for weeks at a time. That's having 10+ IE windows open and bouncing back and forth between CS and RCTW.

Couldn't be happier with my 1st athlon combo..

I have had the EP-8K7A+ for a few months now. The only problems have to do with the low voltage readings on the 5v rail. I have a Enermax 365PSU and it sometimes dips as low as 4.5v. Weird things
start to happen but I can almost tell because my graphics get strange. Next, will probably be a mod on
the PSU or a new Antec415.

Yes I have this board. It's the most stable board I have ever used, period. 0 crashes since Windows XP, but the SB Live did try!

Have had the 8k7a for about 6mo. and have been able to stablely run my athlon 1.2 at 1.48 and 2 sticks of crucial 2100 ram at CAS 2 settings w/ ramping up the voltage and a bios upgrade. Great board, but.... never statisfied I am planning to upgrade to a KT266a board (maybe the Epox, or the Abit or the new upcoming Shuttle) so I can (try) to run 3 or 4 sticks of ram (which I already have) and (maybe) make use of the RAID channels for graphics and video purposes.

I was able to get 60 mhz more out of this Epox 8k7a as compared to my Abit KT7A. I also have bought two more just the same however one is DOA. Very sad but true that dreaded FF came about

I have a 8K7A+ an it has been one of the best mobo's I have used. Mine runs stable at 170fsb 24/7, I would recommend this mobo to anyone. I have since switched to a 8KHA+ an have it running 170fsb 24/7, they both are excellent mobo's. The 8KHA+ has a little better memory bandwith but not by much.
8K7A+ alu 813 fpu 1056 (10x170)
8KHA+ alu 933 fpu 1152 (9.5x170)
The 8K7A+ is no slouch in my opinion.

I had it. I either had a problem with the cpu not seating good after moving it, or a power surge through the ethernet card from the cable modem killed it... Still looking into it. Seemed like a very good board for it's time, but now I've got the MSI K7t266a pro ru, and like it more. With the Epox, I had to remove the Ultra 66 card to install an OS. It was also crowded around the heatsink. The MSI doesn't have those problems, and is a faster board. It's also jumperless... well almost. If I had the Epox and it was working I'd stick with it. If I had to make a choice... I'd get the MSI kvt266a again.

I love my 8k7a! Have had no reason to look into getting any other board. This bad boy runs so rock solid I can hardly believe that I run Windows!

Ummmmm.... Hate to be a desenter here but I did love mine until lil ticky tack things like bad battery after 2 months and then now my Floppy Header is blown after being touch and go for 3 months. Overclocks Like a somb!tch but the lil things will keep me away from epox probably in the future. oh and my Stablility was not as good as my old BE6-II bar none.
