Do you have "street smarts"?

If you were to go to "the city", whatever that means to you would you be able to get around the streets safely?

Can you identify gang members from posers, spot prostitutes, dug dealers, smut peddelers. IF someone asked you to find some obscure drug could you point them in the right direction? Can you identify those little hideouts for criminals?

EDIT: Furthermore, if you dont have them, is it something that you desire? Or if you do, are you proud of your knowledge?

Prostitutes = Short everything from shorts to skirts to shirts ...
Gangmembers = just look for colors or certain flags (Latin Kings) =)
Drug dealers = look for any black guy with a decked out car ... you know they didnt buy it with clean money

Most of that is in the suburbs, too ... some even more so than the "city"

BTW.. whats a dug dealer? ..you mean dig dug dealer (one who sells dig dug arcade machines)

And "smut peddlers"? wtf .. people don't hawk pr0n on the street dude.
Just go into a video store or sex toy shop (again, mostly in the suburbs)

And I don't think criminals "hideout" anywhere together ..unless you're
talking about the jail.

Oh, and if someone wanted directions to an obscure drug, I'd send them to the pharmacy

Not really. I know enough to keep myself out of trouble in a bad neighborhood (mostly spoting said neighborhood and keeping away). If someone asked me for weed I couldnt find it for them, couldn't even tell them where to go. If my buddy stabbed a guy I wouldn't know where to hide him, besides the police station, which is where he would go.

If someone asks you where to find any drug, you don't know--even if you do. In the city, strangers are not your friends.

Thats for sure ... Strangers arent friends .. but if you turn that stranger into a friend ... its okay?? from what i learned from living in NY ... is that trust no one but yourself .. everyone in the city backstabs each other and trust is worthless ....
