My cat insists I play catch with her when I'm sitting on the toilet. The door to my bedroom is 2 feet away from the toilet. She'll bring a toy mouse over and expect me to throw it across the room and then bring it back for more. I finally "trained" her to drop the mouse in the bathroom so I could reach it from my sitting position instead of on the carpet in the bedroom. She's a cutie :)

Our dog loves to play with rocks in the river. She goes nuts. We have to play catch with little rocks then I tell her to go get a bigger rock and she barks and wrestles these huge rocks around with her paws. Then she sticks her head underwater and comes up with a rock. Ever hear a dog bark while it's head was completely underwater? Very fun to watch. Once she swallowed a rock and we had to give her an operation. I think she learned form that and doesn't come close to swallowing them anymore. But she is still crazy.

I am not making this up.

My cat is so weird, I wonder sometimes if he's not part dog! :)

He loves tuna fish (big surprise!), and will come running any time he hears me pull the can opener out of the drawer. Don't ask me how he knows it's the can opener, and not a stirring spoon, spatula, or anything else, but he knows the difference. Oh yeah, any other fish, he'll snub (and that's strange!!).

Ice cream. Okay, most cats will do ice cream, just for the milk that's in it. But usually you'll see them doing vanilla, right? Well, I can't stand plain old ice cream like that. But even if I'm sitting there eating cherry with chocolate chunks (yummy!!) ice cream, he wants to lick from the spoon (never from the bowl, only from the spoon), and will take quite a bit before he gets kitty brain freeze. ;)

A couple other weird things he'll go crazy over is the sauce from Spaghetti-O's with meat balls (no other kind of spaghetti-o's, and none of the cheaper generic store brands). He'll lick that off of a spoon as well. But the weirdest one (to me, at least) is that if I'm eating kosher dill pickles, and offer him a piece, he'll lick that piece for a good 10 minutes!! No other type of pickles generate any interest for him, and I have no idea what's in those that he likes the flavor of, but he'll go to town on one of those!! :)

Oh yeah, and raw or cooked chicken or turkey he has no interest in, but he'll eat small pieces of raw hamburger until he gets sick, if I let him. Luckily for him I'm jealous about my hamburger meat, and limit him to 2 pieces. And cat food or treats have to be the crunchy type.....no soft mushy food or treats for my kitty!!

But the reason why I think he's part dog is this. You know those plastic balls with the jingle bells in them? The kind that are open, and you can see the bell? If I throw one of them down the hallway in the house, he'll chase after it, bat it around for a few seconds, then pick it up in his mouth and carry it back to me, and drop it so I can throw it again. We've done this for upwards of 30 minutes at a time before, until he finally gets tired and lays down for one of his 5x daily naps! I've never gotten a dog to play fetch with me for that long!!

Finally, don't bother buying my cat any fancy cat toys. He'll look at it for a second or two, then give you that "boy, did you waste money on this?" look, and walk away.....never to play with it. His favorite toy? An old piece of string that's frayed on both ends. He'll chase after that forever, or until his next nap time!!

Hrmmm the things my cat does...

Won't eat people food or anything that she see's people put in her mouth. Meat, cheese, milk, whatever, she won't touch the stuff. She might smell it and then look funny at me.

She loves to sit down with her front paws crossed over each other.

Loves to jump on my shoulders and just sit up there and nuzzle the side of my neck.

She also has a morbid streak to her. If she needs to sneeze, she runs right up to me and tries to sneeze in my face every time. It's GROSS being woken up like that in the morning. I don't know when she started doing this but I somehow think she's laughing in her tiny cat brain of hers when she does this. I'm slowly breaking her of doing this.

She goes GAH GAH and has a literal kitty orgasm if you scratch under her chin. The harder and faster your scratch there the funnier she gets. She starts drooling, rolling her eyes into the back of her head, and then she shakes her back-right paw like a dog when you are scratching their bellies.

She loves to hop in my lap and pet me back sometimes when I'm doing something else. Literally, she'll start petting me on the arm, face, or neck.

Okay, that's it for my cat.

My dad's dog is a rare German hunting breed, imported from Hannover, called a Kleine Münsterlander. They are regarded by Germans as the smartest breed of German-bred dogs. There are only about 300 of his breed in the United States.

Here is recent pic of Jäger.

My two cockatiels love tortillas, and they have hand towel fetishes (they sing and lift one foot in the air when you wave one at them).
