Do you have personal space in your car?

I took my friend to pick up a few things and he kinda just sat down in my passenger seat and took up a lot of room. Like when I drive I dislike rubbing up against my friend, I don't know why, I'm guessing it just doesn't feel right to rub up next to a friend while you're shifting gears. Am I being homophobic or do all men feel this way? Like if you're shifting gears and you keep rubbing your friends leg or arm. Do you feel uncomfortable or would something like this not bother you at all?

i often throw my arm around the passenger seat headrest. its just comfortable...but i understand it can be weird depending on who i am driving with.

When I'm going somewhere with my brother, his leg is always in the way of my shifting. More often than not, it's someone's arm in the way. But yeah, it annoys me and no, I don't think it's anything homophobic at all. It's more a matter of "this is my car and I need to have the space I like to have to drive it."

I have a center console in my car, so there is no possible way that my leg could rub anyone else's unless their leg is outstretch above and across the center console, which would require great flexibility.
