Scientists crack me up:

[discovery and reflection]

"We now know what happened."

[further discovery and reflection]

"Ok, we thought we knew, but after this, now we now."

[further discovery and reflection]

"Yes, heheh, this is what we now know to have happened, not that other thing."

[further discovery and reflection]

"Ok...all that other stuff we said before? Now we know what happened. Really, this is it."

[further discovery and reflection]

"No, seriously, we now know that was wrong and this is right. We know it for a fact."

[further discovery and reflection]

"Umm, well, given this new discovery, we must now say that we know for a fact this is happened. I'm not kidding..."

And the saga continues....

Spoken like someone who has no clue about what science is about or how it is done. Bet you learned all that from your local newpaper or better yet were told by your church.

LOL

Used to have a neighbor whose head was shaped exactly like the Neanderthal reconstructions that you see in books. Protruding jaw, heavy brow, almost no forehead. Not to knock the guy. I thought it was pretty cool. So I think they interbred with other humans and, every now and then, the Neanderthal genes get back together and express themselves.

Exactly, like all those college text books? Did you intend to discredit the educational foundations of every scientist on the globe or was it just by accident?

Hey, I can do that.

Wow, that was easy. 100% thought and content free.

One thing that is interesting is Neanderthal's had larger barins than modern humans. It is thought the cause of their disappearance was actually breeding with modern humans of the era, and eventually being absorbed into the population by what we know as modern humans. There was a show on one of the Discovery channels about this recently...neat stuff.

One controversial explanation is that these Neanderthals were interbreeding with modern humans in the region . . . Comparisons of mitochondrial DNA from Neanderthals and modern humans have failed to reveal any signs of mixing between the two populations

They're not even sure interbreeding was possible between the two species (as far as anatomy and the possibility of a successful pregnancy). More evidence is necessary to give weight to an argument for interbreeding.

Remains of early modern humans from Central Europe often display Neanderthal traits, say the researchers. But these features are no longer as common in present-day European populations.
Weren't most of the Neanderthals in Europe located in France? Hmmm!!!

I can't quote locations and such without doing some checking, but I did see a discovery channel program about the possibility, and they theorized that intermingling between the groups was possible.

Yes, it is possible because they were not seperate species, but offshoots of the same species.

Apparently some guy in England was found to be a direct decendant of a Neanderthal's remains. DNA testing proved it.

Neanderthal could not adapt to the changing climate when the Ice Age was ending. He was out evolved by a superior race of human.

Wrong, the colleges (if they are doing their job) fully expect you to question what is written in those text books.
In fact, some of the greatest thinkers in history were the ones who one day realized that everything they
had been taught was complete and utter B*lls**t, and they would have to start from scratch at building
a real understanding of how the universe works. Those thinkers were scientists, religious leaders, and
in some cases just plain fools.

Did you intend to discredit the educational foundations of every scientist on the globe or was it just by accident?

Actually, he just confirmed the educational process of every real scientist on the globe.
