Do you have multiple user names for diff places?

AT is the first site that I used this username on. Now I use it on practically every social outlet. For personal/business/financial logins, though, I usually do a variation of my first/last name.

For games I've been Ruptga, shoggoth and variations on that, the machine and variations on that, GuyFleegman, and others. For forums I care about I'm just Ruptga, but if my player name is already something else then that's what I use.

I have this one and my professional one. I keep them separate because I have a huge stalker problem (as in I have at least a hundred restraining orders against people and I know two cops personally I can call for help in addition to 911). I run my network connection through 2 or 3 vpn's so no one can track me (not exactly sure, my IT guy set it all up).

You should lay off the drugs for a bit.

If you find a "BoomerD" on an internet forum, particularly computer, aquarium, or BMW related, odds are...it's someone besides me...:ninja:

I have a couple random names at a few warez forums I don't really go to anymore. Not that using a different name really means much considering I was not even using Tor or other type of proxy at the time. The NSA/CSIS still knows it's me.

Mine is hard to get, so I only have it in a couple of places. Unique usernames that you would actually want are hard to get these days. Even my third choice for Origin was taken, so I had to change the spelling. It an was based on a supporting character from a western made in 1950! Sucks when the person who has it doesn't even play, and when he did he only had a .6 kd ratio.

I wish most systems did something like what ICQ had, where really you are just a number, but you can use any name you want. I would rather be 1 of 1000 Childs than xXxChilds69xXx.

Yes.

It's typically:

Engineer
UKEE
UKEE93

depending on whether Engineer is already taken and whether I've already used UKEE there and forgotten the password and lost the e-mail address! 😛

I use multiple usernames in no less than ten forums I am registered with. I use an addon to mouse click the username in the field box. I also make a note of a password hint and user name in the bookmark's description field. And all my passwords are over ten digits long and unique to each site. Just changed the password here because I don't think Anandtech uses Bcrypt. LOL

Just for the hell of it look up John Connor.

I use my real name for eBay/Amazon/etc, and a different username for my non-legitimate business. Back when I started foruming I had a dozen different names but I got sick of that.

I reuse usernames in different places, but there's definitely more than one. I used variants of this one in 3-4 other places. I've phased it out though, I think this was the last place I used it at (I registered in 2008). It was inspired by the movie "I, Robot", and the fact that I did grad research in A.I., but the intended meaning has been lost and now it just sounds like I'm an Apple fan, although I've never owned an Apple product...

i'm semi decent at FPS games. i also play almost exclusively pubs. which leads to me having .. fanboys. so my IGN (and therefore website login and forum name) from the previous game tends to be taken. (its a weird collection of letters and numbers which doesnt mean anything as written, so no, not something you can come up with on your own).
im currently trolling someone who cloned my previous nick, changed 1 letter. i was on an alt account so he doesn't know, i friended him and basically play in every game he plays in, and reply to everything he posts.

one day. im gonna make him shit brix.
