Do you have more than one broadband option available in your neighborhood?

I keep hearing about Comcast and Optimum Online which offer I guess "extreme" packages which give you like what is it... 800KBps/120KBps speeds. Is this right? If not, what are the common speeds with the "extreme" packages?

I only have RR and Verizon DSL here. I wish more cable companies would come out here and give a boost to the competition.

If you're closer to town here, you can get DSL and cable. Here, cable is the only option. Unfortunately i'm still on dialup... :(

SBC DSL and Comcast Cable

I'm on the SBC DSL, "Extreme Plus Package" or something like that. 6Mbps up/ 640kbps down I think.

Cable/DSL here.

DSL seems to be the better option with 1024/256 for $28/mo. Comparable Cable Solution is 1024/128 for $35+5 modem Rental. Just cancelled my Cable internet of 6 years and while turning over the modem to Charter Communications, I realized that I paid for that modem 4x over. Should me my modem.

As far as I know there is only Rogers cable and Sympatico Dsl, but Sympatico has a max limit on how much you can download/upload per month, so we have cable.

I can get Cable and DSL. However, being that the cable I have is OptimumOnline, nothing is getting me to switch anytime soon.

optonline gets me this 2416 / 861 kbps

Wireless, DSL, and Cable are the only ones I know of here. I could probably get a T3 or OC-192 or something if I had millions of dollars, but I can't even afford cable (which is $50 or so per month), so I've not bothered to check into those options. ;)

We have cable and DSL.

Although cable is faster, DSL is cheaper and our older ReplayTV 3060 can still dial in via modem.
