I never really understood tattoos. I have never seen an image/picture or ANYTHING that I would want to look at for the rest of my life/put on my body.

im getting a tree of life done soon, its going on my left shoulder and upper arm. I have been researching my genealogy for a few years and have learned a great deal about my family and its past. So for me the tree will represent my familys past, present and future.

this will be my first, i have no idea if i will get anymore.

No for me. Considered it in college, but the thought of putting something permanent on me, and not being able to decide what I wanted dissuaded me. Had my ears pierced too, I think the piercings never really closed up. Been about 10 yrs or so.

Nope...not a one. I've been in several tattoo parlors in various parts of the world...in varying states of intoxication...but apparently never saw anything that I thought was worthy of being permanently stuck on my body.

I have a kanji symbol for "younger brother" I got when I turned 18 on my right shoulder blade. I sometimes completely forget it's even there.

My wife sometimes gets an itch to get one. I always tell her I'd rather her body be "clean" of any markings like that though.

Not a fan of needles. And though I sort of want one, I cant figure out the design yet so that's part of the reason I dont have one. I may get around to it someday.

My wife has quite a few. Just got a new one done 3 weeks ago. Sort of between a quarter and half sleeve. I used to feel that I'd never, ever want my wife to have one, but this new one I REALLY like. She had three when I married her, and while I'm still not a fan of 2 of them and would prefer she didnt have them, I completely forget theyre there usually. (And theyre quite conspicuous.) It's just something you get used to.
