Do you have any invasive species where you live?

Simple question, what invasive species exist where you live, and how concerned are people?

The big ones for us:
Asian Carp - Eating all of the natural species food and jumping into boats attacking people
Zebra Mussels - filter nutrients out of water and steel it form native aquatic species, also significant problem because they clog water pipes in treatment plants.
Emerald Ash Borer - no North American predators, basically kills every ash tree it infects

Stinkbugs, English ivy, and some other ivys I suspect aren't native. I'm sure there's a ton of other stuff, but that's what I'm aware of

The tiger mosquito is becoming a pain in the ass during the day. The maps say it isn't in our area region yet, but the bites say otherwise. The ash borer killed most of our ash trees too. As far as plant life, the ailanthus altissima -- aka tree of heaven or ghetto palm -- is taking over highways and urban areas.

There is this new one apparently in my area called giant hog weed. It's freaking scary as hell. You touch it and get huge chemical burns once you go in the sun. Basically it's UV reactive. You can go blind from it too. I have not seen any myself, only heard that they're here. The process of removing them basically involves a team in bunny suits. Serious business.

There's probably tons of others but that one is a significant one that I know of.

Some beetle killing trees, Asian Carp killing fish, Hogweed blinding and burning people, skunks in the city that aren't afraid of people, raccoons same... No bears though, but deer have gotten close to the inner city.

Ones with the white stripes? After over 5 years of dealing with this... worst pest ever, despite all efforts to curb their growth (ie. they lay eggs in standing water). We cannot be out in our yard at dusk at all because of these things. They will hunt you down and get you within 5 minutes. The only way you don't get bit is if you're constantly moving - like taking a walk. Basically summer only lasts through July here. August it's impossible being out in the yard. Strangely we get no other types of mosquitoes here.

My redneck friends in Lousiana told me about the salvinia invasion of their rivers and lakes. The green plants grew so fast and sucked up all of the oxygen so the fishes would die out and the propellers from fishing boats would be stuck.

Those plants sucked off oxygen from the water, that's why the fishes were dying and those plants were growing so fast. My friends did show me a few pictures of before and after and it was amazing.

That's what I have been told. I am not a marine biologist.

Oh, there are a bunch of feral hogs too. The hunters try to shoot them but there are a bunch of them hungry hogs around.

I dunno if that is all. I've seen there are Rock Boas out in the Glades also these days. Asian Carp are in a lot of freshwater this side also heavily, there are a few things migrated the Tampa Bay Area.

We even redid a wooden rack in the shop at one time resortin the Aluminum in the shop at one time and I found a Brown Widow Spider.

One Electrical Engineer at the time came in and said I was full of shit att, came in and caught it and took it back to his desk and was screwing around with it.

Then he looked it up online and about shit himself I guess.

Honeywell hired an exterminator to fumigate that area of the shop the next day.
