I wanna get an LCD monitor. They look cool. But I'm too broke to get an LCD and a new video card, so maybe I'll wait.

I just wanna know what everyone here has.

I have an LCD at home (15" 1024x768), but if I had it to do over again, I probably would have gotten a really nice flat screen 19" analog for the same price. The thing to remember about an LCD is that you are at a fixed resolution - I can't go above 1024x768 now even if I want to. So even though I have a 1.4ghz Athlon with half a gig of ram & a kick butt video card, 3D games are still only in 1024x768. If I had an analog monitor, I could drive them at a higher resolution...

Given that, it sure is nice having a monitor that weights about 10 pounds, and that takes only about a square foot of my desk - I can actually use my desk for things other than just the computer now...

I use my Samsung SyncMaster 900NF (it's a CRT for those that don't know). I love it. The size issue really isn't an issue with me, but that's not to say that I don't like the slim LCDs...

Edit: Running at 1600x1200 @ 85Hz with 32bit color. Very nice:)

I got a 15" AOC LCD. It's not as good as a Samsung, but hey, I got it for free so I can't complain.

I have dual 15" monitors. They do take up quite a bit of space, but I have a large desk. I like large, sprawling systems more than compact ones.

I have a Planar 17.4" LCD at home. I use a laptop at work. There is also a CRT at my desk, but I never have it on. I haven't looked at a CRT for more than 30 minutes for a long time...

I don't use LCD's due to the resolution being so low, compared to a CRT. I need something that supports over 2000 lines.
