Do you have an Abit BH6 with an Epson Photo 870?

I was just told by Epson technical support that my new Epson Stylus Photo 870 will not work with my "USB Universal Host Controller" because it is "Hardware version: 001". The USB host conroller is part of my Abit BH6 v1.0 MB

I was also told to contact Abit to see if they have a patch. Now I have no idea how to 'patch' hardware but I have a feeling that this is Epson's way of saying "We really don't know what's wrong. Why don't you go call someone else."

Device manager lists the Epson USB printer port (EPUSB1:) but I can't choose it in the printer properties. Does anyone have any ideas?

My system:
Abit BH6 v1.0
Celeron 566@850
256 MB RAM
45 GB IBM 75GXP
Plus a bunch of other stuff.

F*cking morons. I fixed it myself. Why can't technical support fix a simple problem.

If anyone else every comes across this problem:
delete the printer from the printers folder
delete the Epson USB printer from the device manager
delete epson870.ini from the windows directory
run EPUSBUN.EXE from the windows\system directory
Reinstall from the CD as directed

This worked for me.
