why would you need to buy at least $400? I would say if you just did at least 10 orders a year from amazon it'd be pretty worth it.

I liked the service when I tried it, but I order from amazon maybe 5x a year, if that.

if you know you'll spend more than the cost of Prime or more on shipping, then its a great deal. if you only order like 2 things a year, then no, it's not worth it.

When I had a free trial of it I used it all the time. It was nice to see a cheap book on there and not have to wait until you can think of a way to spend $25 or more. Plus getting things in two days was awesome. I wouldn't pay for it, but I could see how it would pay for itself around x-mas and peoples b-days. The only downside was it doesn't cover shipping for buying used books which I do quite often when I don't care about the condition.

I got it for christmas shopping. It paid for itself in that two week span alone. The remaining 11 months were icing on the cake. I renewed it without hesitation and did the same thing. Amazon christmas shopping is the bomb.

Yep, had it since inception. It's fantastic.

If you don't purchase from Amazon much it may not be, but even a couple items each month over the year will make it pay for itself.

I kind of wish Newegg would have a similar plan :laugh:
