Do you have alot of ticks where you live?

We always have ticks in the summer here in NC, but it seems really bad this year, it's only spring and I have pulled many off of myself already.

How's the tick situation at your place?

Yes, in fact Lyme disease is named after a town not far from me where the disease was first discovered, Lyme Connectoicut.

Hmmmmm, this gives me a hankering for Key Lime Pie 🙂

Yes we have ticks here in Texas and they are really bad this year. I have to check m dogs everytime we come home from the lake house. They used to get them every once in a while to never and this year I have already picked several off each dog and everyone needs to check themselves too since 3 people have had them in those sensitive moist areas if you know what I mean. I had one right in the middle of my chest.

In 30+ years, I've only seen 2 ticks on pets or people here in Western NY... In each of the last 3 bowhunting seasons, I've spent many days from dawn til dusk in the woods, and not seen a tick, except on 1 day each year.

On that one day each year, I'll end up with dozens and dozens of ticks that I pick off myself all day long... (well over 50)

Thanks for reminding me though... it's time to treat the dogs for fleas and ticks before they get any on them.

yeah seems like more to me this year. My parents dog and my GF's parents dog have both got one on the same day a couple of weeks ago. Havn't seen one since though.

No insects period. No moisture for them to thrive on.

A few crickets where lawns are watered and that is it.

yeah, we have ticks and mosquitoes really bad this year... I've only saw 2 but I've barely been outside that much so yeah...

be careful and learn about the symptoms of lyme disease.

Here in Florence, SC a friend of mine in his mid thirties has lyme disease from a tick bite. It was caught late and now he has arthritis, was out of work for around 8 months. Now he hasn't been able to walk normally, he shuffles instead of walks ... very slowly, has many bad days.

I have two obvious tick bites on me now. One I know is a tick bit because I pulled the tick off, the other I assume is a tick bite because is about an inch away from the other. it's been a week and they are still both red and obvious. Hope I'm OK...

I thought your title said "Do you have a lot of TRICKS where you live?" and I'm like wtf kinda question is that?!
