oh my god, I just found out my mum is using Trillian!

heheehe, I laughed so hard when I first hear that, I mean, not even I know how to use Trillian...
she like went online on her own and look for the d/l too.
I hope she isn't into Q3 or CS and start talking like a geek, "Hey, All YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO ME son!"

she is 54 years old and still techo-savvy... cool :)

I gave my old iMac to my mom, and unfortunately she's now in that "forwarding stupid email" phase..

My mom had a post-it-note on her monitor at work for years. It read: Remember to right-click!

I laughed so hard when I saw that there.

lol, my parents don't do that, but I actually have a handful of friends who does that.
"Check it out, Funny joke inside :) : ) :) : ) :) : ) :) : ) :) : ) :) : ) :) : )"
"LOL! This is SOOO funny! :) "
"a sad but true love story: how you should never regret on love"

sounds familiar?

anyway, whao, I didn't expect my mum to that "geeky," maybe I should call her more often now and talk about things OTHER than sending me more money.

and I don't know how to use Trillian because I never installed it. I just use icq2000b.

VFAA: you are one sick person...

here you go....

I already envisioned some folks here will photochop it with a bunch of geeky elements like a green baseball cap with the word "Geek" stamped on it and 2 laptops on the table and put a "I l0\/3 Linux" t-shirt on her...

or, some real sick bastard (cough V cough F cough A cough A) will post her on Amihotornot.com

My mum has an ongoing interest in computers, though has rekindled itself since she was introduced to Kazaa (ie, West Wing episodes:)). She knows how to burn, how to reinstall windows, format, fdisk, setup a basic network, the works :) Over the next few weeks I'll be showing her how to convert divx avis to raw mpegs so she can watch the episodes we download on the set-top DVD player :)

My mum kicks your mum's ass :D She turns 40 next year

My mom knows how to turn on the computer to get online to read the news... and that's pretty much it...

And she can only do that after we wrote step-by-step instructions and stick it on the computer for her...

My mom's burnt her own music CDs. And she installed the CD-RW herself (with my help over the phone). She's no tech, but she knows how to use her computer. She's 44 btw.

My Mom just turned 45. She can swap out floppy drives, reseat pci/isa cards, knows the difference between EDO and SDRAM, and knows how to ping a machine :)
