I fairly lucky in that I have a good metabolism for a big guy, mostly because I have been lifting weights for over 20yrs now and have plenty of muscle which allows me to get away with eating crap every now and then. I'm about 239 right now and my ideal lean bodyweight is about 225-230 so I'm not that far off. I just back off the sugary carbs and up the protein and fiberous veggies, eat 5-6 times a day, bust my a$$ in the gym and I transform myself very quickly. Gotta love muscle memory (and good genetics)

The downfall of the low-carb diet is/was myths, misinformation, and the low-carb dieters inability to properly follow it.

I've lost 30lbs since Sept. I fell better than ever and plan to go for some tests to check my overall progress.

low carbs + exercise + dietary supplements = a very happy me

Not anymore.

Morning 3-4 eggs whites or 1 lean pocket ultra or a protien shake and a cup of black coffee with splenda.
Lunch 2 lean pocket ultras and 2 diet pepsis/cokes.
Dinner 2 lean pocket ultras and water or diet pepsi/coke.

Then I come home and run four miles.

That's about 1000 calories. Most of the time I will have another 200 calorie snack so that I don't die.

I've gone from 143lbs to 125lbs. Now I am thinking about lifting weights to build muscle mass.
1000 calories is WAY too low. You are losing muscle.

Stick to what you know... he said most of the timet another 200 calorie snack...

he is 125 lbs... that is tiny.... 900-1200 calories is PLENTY to keep his metabolism going and to keep from him burning muscle (notice protein mentioned).....

I know 250lb guys who eat 900-1200 calories during weight loss and while working out end up gaining muscle mass and losing a lot of fat....

If you are actually JOGGING four miles a day you can eat a lot more than that. Excercise is the main way people lose weight as long as they aren't going crazy with their eating habbits.

Do you know how what eating all the processed food will do to your body? Seriously, just get a Foreman grill and one of those big bags of frozen chicken. Steam some veggies and cook up some rice. Also, cut back on the diet soda, too much of it and its no better than regular soda.

What will happen with too much processed food?
I have a George Forman grill. I just hate to cook just for myself.
And I love my diet sodas. They are way better for you than regular sodas IMO.
Don't worry, I eat like 1000 of those Lean Pocket Ultras a week as well. :) THey are so convenient and good, and good for you.

jeez. I eat probably 6000 calories a day.

Breakfast: Don't normally eat it, sometimes a bowl of cereal or a breakfast hot pocket.
Lunch: Most of the time I eat at Taco Bell, 1 grilled stuffed burrito, 4 meximelts, 2 steak soft tacos, steak quesadilla and an extra large Mt. Dew.
Dinner: Depends, sometimes pizza, or some velveta or ramen.

Been eating alot of chicken breast though, like 5lbs in 3 days...

Holy $***! How the hell do you eat that much for lunch. Youve got to be kidding. Also that would get pretty expensive. Are you obese? Damn.
