how exactly do you power up a computer without the power button from the case?
Screwdriver or other similar object across the power button leads on the motherboard.

basically, just tap the power lead with a screw driver?
Exactly.

man what if someone pointed that laser at your LCD out of spite?

They would have to use a mirror.

2.5W at 532nM will destroy the LCD film immediately letting the backlight spill through. Been there, done that.

I also used a high power CO2 laser to cut a GF2 GTS in half. Faster than our Powermatic bandsaw and super clean.

Cheers!

Tower

Setup

it's not a fancy case, it was a sample aluminum case from one of the oem manufacturers in tw that I worked for 3 years ago. Thinking about replacing it with the KINGWIN KT-424. what do you guys think? its serviceable but really plain, if i get some extra $$ I just might switch, it just might give me the illusion of building myself a brand new pc. :)

Hey brudda, I'd suggest you take some time to think through and design a good cable managment scheme. That is a rat's nest up in there! No offense intended or taken I hope :)

My system is generic and uninspired but the cable managment will give you something of a reference on how to better organize things. Others have far better cable managment schemes than myself so there will be multiple pics to give you food for thought before long
