my roommate John used to have 835-JOHN. They asked him when he got his phone (Verizon Wireless, Chicago area) whether he wanted a special number, and they looked up various ones with JOHN and found this one was available.

My number is ITS XX YO (XX=my initials). All my friends remember my number that way, which was embarrassing for one of them. He was filling out a job application and used me as a reference. He had to put my number on the application but didn't know the digits, just the mnemonic above.

He had to ask the person at the company if he could look at her phone to find the digits to put on the application. Not surprisingly, he didn't get the job.

My old cell phone was 555-5683. My then-bf, when a friend would ask what my phone number was, would give it out as 555-LOVE, the way he remembered it.

Well, the last four digits of my phone number are 2025, and the only word I saw in the list was another word for rooster. I won't say what the word is because it also is used as another name for a piece of the male anatomy.

Mine comes out really cool but I'd rather not post it here. But it makes it easy when I have to give people my number.

This one guy at work, his work phone comes out as STUPID.
This other one has SODA-GOD.
