You know something that plugs in or just gives off light?

I like a dim light in my room. I have a stained glass ceiling fan that uses the little screw in xmas bulbs in the top portion. I leave that on at night, and it makes an attractive amber glow.

Edit:
My bedroom computer also has a blue LED power indicator, that's bright as shit. Luckily, it doesn't face directly at me. I do think I see a brown spot on the opposite wall from the light burning into it :^D

No, the darker the better. My room can be too bright and it's kind of annoying. Even as a kid I never had any sort of night light.

A CW source is fine. When it flickers that creates problems for me.

One cannot get a more stable source than a betalight, however! :awe:

No. My router is even covered up, and I shut off the power strip to kill the PC's standby lights.

i have a motion sensor night light between the bed and the stairs to the bathroom (in a loft above bedroom). helpful for the wife to navigate the stairs at night.

yes, in the kitchen and living room.

I only have them so I don't trip over stuff if I wander out in the middle of the night.

my computer is in my bedroom... the random LED's that are on even when the pc itself is powered on are typically enough to light up the floor without being so bright that they keep me awake (usually; some nights I'll throw a towel or something on top of my router/modem and turn off my printer and speakers to get rid of the leds).

I had a nightlight in my bathroom... well, it was an air freshener that happened to contain a light. but I took it out because it was too bright (my bedroom is directly opposite my bathroom and I keep both doors open at night)

The dull red gleam that emanates from the eyes of the monsters under my bed provide adequate illumination for any night time potty trips.

I actively try to eliminate as many stray lights in my apartment as possible because they interfere with my eyes' darkness adaptation, which is useful when trying to capture photons coming from distant planets, moons, stars, nebulae, and galaxies.

I put up some of those plugin softglow lights in hallways and the bathrooms so that I can navigate without turning on an overhead light in the middle of the night. I also have one in the bedroom so that I can see the dog laying on the floor before tripping over her on my way to the bathroom for those infrequent middle of the night pees.

It's not so much the getting up that's bad. It's the coming back after having a bright light in my face. My eyes don't adjust back to darkness as well as they used to.

I keep one in our bathroom so I don't have to turn on any lights and blind myself or stumble around in the dark trying to take a piss in the middle of the night.

I have enough outdoor lighting that key areas of my home are lit. My bathrooms have lighted switches though.

No, but I should get some for the hallways, so people can see what they're doing when going to bed, or getting up for the bathroom.

Nope. I actually have a hard time getting to sleep if it it's not close to pitch black. I can feel my way to the bathroom and piss in the dark if need be, but once I'm out I usually don't wake up.

I bought an 8-pack of LED plug-in lights from Costco. Kids want one in their room and we keep one in our room in case they come in.
