I have two weeks easter vacation from school

i used to work in Canada...no work fri, sat, sun, mon....4 days weekend like the UK.

Nope. However, they'll probably let us out a little early today. We still have to come in on Monday though. It sucks. We're an ad agency so the thinking goes "we have to be there to support our clients." Well all of our major clients (the ones that pay the big bills) will be off, why can't we?!?!?! Gotta love working in the US where the holidays are few and far between and the vacation time is minimal. :frown: One of the prices of a robust economy I suppose.
 
Nah, it's a full day, but I'm taking 1/2 as personal vacation. I can't complain, though, since the company's vacation policy is pretty good.
 
I officially have today off. I will go in around 3pm to get some data from on experiment saved and calibrate some equiptment. I'll also go in Sat. to save the data and start on another project I've gotten behind on. I'll probably be able to take Sunday off.

I should get paid overtime,but haven't put it on a timesheet in years. I had about two weeks of overtime last fall and never got paid for it.

my office closes at 3:00pm today. dunno what i'am gonna do with all this free time.
maybe go shop for new computer parts except i can't find any good stores here in New York city besides CompUSA and J and R. 🙁
 
I have the day off. Asked for it a week ago for something completely unrelated to Good Friday. The people at my work that did work today do have a half day though.
 
I work for the Federal Gov't. We've got that whole separation of church and state thing, so I'm working (neffing).

On the positive side we do get President's day, and Columbus day off 🙂.
