Currently don't have one in either my car or woman's car, keep meaning to pick one up to toss in the back for each.. just in case ...

I do keep a couple in the house though (one in basement utility room, one in kitchen)

I have 2 in our house. One in the kitchen and one in the garage.

I'm still not going to put one in either of my vehicles though.

I probably don't need one in both my car and womans car..
Really we would just want to have one with if we go ATving with her brother, or if we wind up towing some sleds some place, or if we go to her friends cabins in the woods of MI. Its simply to have access to a fire extinguisher if we are not near civilization...

I don't drive anything the couldn't be easily replaced by insurance. No point. If I had a super custom ride or a classic or something...

FYI, extinguisher can put out fires (that is the reason)

Yes, obviously. But the risk of that is too low to bother carrying it, and at this point I don't really care if my car burns down or not.

No, I don't have one in my car. Think about it, there was one time I got a stuck caliper and the entire wheel got very hot (as in I can feel the heat 4-5 feet away). It could have caught on fire if I didn't smell the rubber smell and pull over.

When flying RC helicopter with LiPo batteries, I do have an extinguisher near by. Heavy crash + LiPo battery can be a disaster. Didn't have to use it yet however.

I have one in my 300zx. I have known of eight 300zx Twin turbos that have melted. One was a forum member here with picts from two or three years ago. I have replaced the fuel lines that usually go with lines from Earls and still keep it handy but out of sight.

Having seen the wiring on top of the engine of a 300ZX, I believe they burn down quite regularly. I especially remember the slave breakers mounted off to one side of the engine, with a pretty complex wiring harness wrapping around the whole thing.
