Only 9 of the 122 accounts I have on my ignore list have posted in this thread. The rest of you need to try harder. :D

C'mon buddy, get serious here.

Anybody that has to resort to using an ignore list on an internet forum must have zero willpower. 122 people ignored? Colossal failure. I mean, holy fuck, does he have no spine at all?

I wonder what percentage of the forum has me blocked...if I can get it to 100% then I can post whatever the hell I want. I'm pretty certain I'm above 60% right now.

Its actually one of the most effective things considering some people here just repeat themselves and are about as reasonable as a brick wall. Alot of people come here just to "dump" their ideas to an audience and don't really give a shit if people disagree. Who comes to mind eh?

Nah you are a good person AFAIK in my book. People say dumb stuff sometimes but you are contentious so its fine.

Damn, and here I was hoping everyone in this thread had me blocked.
I was about to go off the rails.

What I don't understand, is why people get so butt-hurt and rage over a simple discussion/debate. The entire point of these forums is to discuss/debate. Could you imagine how terrible and boring it would be if every post had to be simple undisputed fact.

"Hello, we live on Earth"
"Oh hello, I agree."
"I concur, but also wanted to point out that we are part of a solar system."
"Did you know that the earth rotates around the sun?"

Somebody like me comes in and tries to mix it up a bit:
"Nuh uh! Argle bargle! I washed toothpaste dinner wax."
*BAN*

Oh well, fun while it lasted.

i only have 75, and i thought maybe that was too many. :O

I would guess at least 40 of those came from an unfortunate time when I ventured into the Politics sub forum for a while. <shudder>

I would argue it takes more willpower to ignore someone and what they may say about you that you may miss. Since I mainly lurk, that is not my concern. I add people to the ignore list to clean up threads so I can get through them on my limited time. Why should I read what the trolls and insane have to say? That is like spending time listening to someone you dislike in person when you can easily avoid it.

I have no feelings for anyone here nor do I like/hate people based on posts. You're all to me nothing more than some swinging sacks somewhere else on the planet. When someone shows up on my door step, then I'll consider some kind of like/hate thing.

In short, if someone hates me on the internet, it's pretty sad on their part. Hating based on some public opinions or comments but I don't care.

or just, you know, don't read their posts if they bother you so much.

No, although I feel that on other forums. When I was young I would literally cry about having no internet friends. Today I revel in abuse.
