When I first joined here, I was attempting to debug a problem with a new video card that burned out a new motherboard, twice in a row, and got no help at all on ANAND's forums except stupid comments and rediculous insults. And several pages worth of them, at that.

After a few days of unprovoked and hateful abuse here, I cut and pasted the exact same original post at Tom's Hardware, and got the exact opposite response there. In fact, Tom himself took a personal interest and responded to my post, and he replicated my discovery several times in a row, and then reported about the problems himself. Within a year after that happened, 3dFX/Voodoo went bankrupt.

So, it is quite satisfying that now the owner of Tom's, PURCH, is now YOUR omnipotent overlord, you helpless bunch of rude tech imbeciles.

Yes, but it's probably because I often contradict people here so I get the same response back. But whatever, that's one of the things I like about this place, people don't hold back in letting you know you're wrong when they want to. It could get excessive sometimes as you could write a post that's 90% right, but the focus will mostly be on the 10% that's questionable.

Edit: I'm usually either contradicted or I'm ignored, mostly the latter.

I'm pretty sure that in real life I'd hate a substantial number of you, but only because I'm very crotchety for my age (28). Could also be the best of nerd friends. But none of you are really into Canadian Politics so that's a strike for sure.

That feeling stems from the overabundance of posters on this forum who take psych meds and can't be reasoned with.

Chalk it up to life experience I guess cause it ain't the first time I've ever had to deal with people like that and I'm sure it won't be the last considering the number of people who take them.

But this place is way above the national average and if you are seeking approval from other posters you absolutely will not find it here. Due to the uhhh... lets say personality traits that such meds imbue.
