Yup.

We've also got a plaid too.
I've been meaning to get a coat or something made with the pattern.

Yeah, tartan, I always forget.
In regards to my last name, I'd rather not say as I like to pretend I have some anonymity on here, but it's the only modern tartan with seven colors. :)

my grandmother has one of these actually. shes done alot of geneological study of our family and contacted and even met a number of relations she discovered. iirc, she spent a week or two in salt lake city doing some research a few years ago.

Do your research, learn your family history. Probably less then 3% of the people on this board could trace themselves back to a line that legitimately had a honest to God family crest.

I can find 3 for myself. So yes, per "The Intarweb" I have a family crest. In actuality my family descended from well noted, highly acclaimed and widely praised......farmers.
English farmers werent known for having family crests.

Now I'm sure some people here do have legitimate family crests, and if so I would definitely get it and display it.
But do your research first. And it takes alot of time and legwork to do it unfortunately.

I can trace one side of my Family history back to 1648 in the Netherlands. The other side may be older, much older. My grandparents still have the family Coat of Arms at their house.

Mine is here. Doesn't mean much to me, since I'm Indian :p, and I'm like 99% sure I don't have any English relations even going back generations. I do like that motto a lot, though.

What returns for my coat of arms in not correct. I can trace my line back that far. As a matter of fact I host my own family genealogy website with over 17,000 records (and counting). Earliest record is from 1585

Cool! I expected my coat of arms to have a knight in shining armor or something similar on it. Well, it's similar alright, except there isn't a person inside all that armor... ROBOTS!
