I like what I do. My previous position here was kinda crappy. I worked mad overtime. Now I just work close to 8 hours and then go home. I test cell phones all day.

I used to have the perfect job.

We'd sit there and monitor Merril Lynch's Online trading sites. Whenever a server in the farm started to act up, we just check the monitoring software and reboot the bad one. Life was good. Surf the net, study, play games (chess, online chess, foosball, you name it), joke with coworkers. 10 hours a day, 4 days a week. Had 3 days off every week. The pay was good too. Then I had to make the mistake of transferring to another position, should have just turned it down. Later I got laid off because my new position was eliminated. Damn. Now I have to do real work for about the same pay.

Guess I can't complain, could be worst. Could be out of a job.

yup definitely hate it. But it might be jeopardy now because our company got bought out 🙁 Having a crappy job is better than no job + bills.

Well i just hope that when i get school all done that i can find a
nice job that pays well......HEY I CAN DREAM RIGHT?

Right now I wish I could make more money so I would feel more comfortable financially. Unfortunately, I looked at a web site and it seems I make about average for my position so I doubt I'll be getting big raises in the future.

The way I see it, a job is a job - but I actually enjoy mine so I'm ahead of most people already. 🙂

Plus the fact that there is very good opportunity for advancement since I'm friends with the manager who runs this store, and plans to purchase it in the future. That would make me in a pretty good position. 🙂

don't like my job either. Just graduted from Virginia Tech and i'm working at Walgreens.

Assistant manager. What a waste of 4 years is college

what's that drew carey quote?

"you hate your job, you know there's a group for that. It called everyone. We meet at the bar"

What'd you major in for college?

Just got a new job today for the summer, since I'm still in HS. Working at an insurance company 30 hours a week doing data entry and file managing and running random errands. $8 an hour, and its inside out of the heat, not too shabby.

I'm a store manager at Mcdonalds......need to know???
Although it the pays is rather decent.
And of course I graduated with a degree in Accounting.

I work at Quiznos in a college town where hardly anybody comes in. On the plus side, I get all the Quiznos I can eat. On the minus side only ~20 hours a week, and 3 hours of dishes a night sucks.

Perhaps the degree in walgreen mangement was a bad idea😱

I love my job for the most part and worked darn hard to get here. There are days though that I think about throwing it all away and becoming a beach bum.
