do you hate the country you live in?

the same dick has been in power for the past 40+ years.

anyone who is determined to voice out and criticize the establishment will be bankrupted and labelled as hooligans by the not-so-imparticial mass media. Here, criticism is ruled as "defamation" by the judiciary. In the past, they'd be packed off to secret police detention barracks instead of being *just* bankrupted though.

it is next to impossible to start up an alternative media due to oppressive laws. The 2 main mass media companies are government-linked.

elections are a sham.

where i live, less than 5% of the people are hanging out their flags for national day ("independence day" in american terms 🙂 )

guess which country i live in 🙂

Singapore has this issue , but I heard it was lifted, and can now be sold by chemists or something weird like that.

Singapore? State-influenced media and the same party in power for a long time, check. But there are worse places to live for sure.
