Like for transporting like 3 from a car to a friend or what ever, I think they're great but IMO I really hate them for the most part because they don't fit in CD racks very well. (Gotta stack two per slot) :|

Hey Mr. Professor, here's a surprise: Music CDs and video DVDs contain (drumroll) DATA. Wow. Yeah, I know, kinda blows your mind.Originally posted by: goku

If you really were doing backups, you'd have them in joilette cases. A joilette case will protect the CD/DVD much much longer than a binder. Not all backups are data ya know, CD backups? DVD backups!? Heard of those!?

I've been using binders for about 10 years, never had a problem with any disc from them. Joilette cases are big and ugly.

So...what exactly is a "joilette" case? Or do you mean Joliet? Even if you do mean Joliet, it's not the name for a CD/DVD/any media that has a plastic case that comes in a slimmed down size.
CD case? Jewel case? Joliet is an extension to the ISO standard file system for CDROM media.Originally posted by: goku

Yes I meant joilet case, I figured I needed two t's in order to make it refer to more than one. What is the case called that is used to protect cds? I've heard it called a joliet so I'm sticking to it unless a theres a word for it that makes more sense.
