I think what he meant was, do you hate being around people, or hate crowds, or what have you. I don't disagree that it should be worded differently though.

Only about 60-80% of the world population or so. And many of those I hate to a level of wishing them to be a patient of people like Mengele.

I don't have social anxiety, but I do hate people. I hate them because they get in my way; I hate traffic, lineups, people walking slowly at the grocery. I avoid crowds because i consider my time more valuable than the morons who'd readily wait 90 minutes to eat at a restaurant. I hate people who don't speed, and I'm behind them.
