In talking with a coworker, he says he leaves his front door unlocked. Family and friends come and go freely all the time.
I'm the scrooge. I don't like people showing up at my place unannounced. Then again, I grew up in a neighborhood where, unless you were using the door right then, they were closed and locked. I don't like other people at my house unless it's some kind of event like having neighbors over for fight night on Spike or throwing a backyard beerfest or something.
Am I out of touch? Should I loosen up or am I justified in the "It's MY house, dammit!" reasoning?
