Do you hang out with your work buddies

Do you ever go with your work buddies to a pub or something like that right after work? I'm not talking about going out with opposite sex colleagues as in a date, though they may participate in such event.
As for me, we do occasionally go out like around 5:30 for a drink and some laughs before we go home. Most of us are married, so its not like no one's waiting for us but still..

nope.

once the clock hits 6, I don't want to see their mugs till I'm ready to go back to work the next day.

Back in Texas I used to all the time. But some of my coworkers were college buddies.
Up here in DC, not at all. People are a lot less friendly up here :/

When I first started my department would hit the pub across the street every Friday for a couple of hours.

After the first merger, it all went down hill.

Then after the most recent merger, no one trusted anyone else, so you were always looking over your shoulder, and going out after work became a possible liability.

Since my layoff, I've met up with a couple of my friends that still work there.

The few people here that I'd actually call friends, yes. The people that are just "work friends," no.

Yep. I even hang and and play video games with a few of them. I am guessing this might change though as each person gets married over time.

I golf and play hockey with a couple of work buddies, and those same guys and a few girls from the office played beach volleyball this summer too. There usually aren't any outings for beers and such though. There used to be.

Have to on occasion. Group outings. The outings are tolerable as long as the alcohol is flowing. Other than that, I'd just prefer to go home after work.

Nope. My attitude was always:
"I gotta work with them, I don't have to spend my own time with them."

On my 8 month co-op I'd drink most weekends with a handful of the people from work. Well it kinda sucked I wasn't 21 till the last 3 months of my co-op. There was up to maybe 8 guys who I'd drink at the bars with (my boss being one of them, haha) , as well as my roommate who was on a co-op, though some of them were interns as well. A couple of them were 2x my age too, but it was all good. My boss also had this party out at his house where he invited most of the people who worked in the building... had a couple of kegs, a guy I work with played with his band... good times. Also talked guitars a lot with that guy, bought an amp from him, he helped me out with my guitar. So overall I got along with quite a few of the people there.

I work with some of my best friends. I've known one guy for almost 15 years now. The others are like family. I worked with my wife for 2 years before we were married and then a year after. It's good to keep people you know and trust around you.

I play BF2 with 7 guys I work with every Tuesday night. I don't go "out" anywhere with any of them though.

I go out to lunch with my coworkers.

Once in a while, I'll go out for drinks after work with my coworkers, and maybe once a month, we'll make the trip out to the main office in VA for the monthly poker tourney.

Isn't it usually different with women though? Sometimes they tend to be more friendly with each other than men do. That is assuming you might work with mostly women.

As to the original question, I have before, but it's not horribly frequent.

Used to, until I started to move up in the company. I decided it was best for me to not socialize with co-workers except for large events.
