I never hand out Xmas cards to people at work. Can't be arsed.

I had a few comments from people who did in my project team as to why I didn't. I don't know why they think I should feel obliged to do so just because they did. D:

You?

I picked up small gifts for the guys I work with directly...cards only if there was a gift card inside.

cards are bullshit

Pretty much, waste of money. Although, I think a birthday card or sympathy card is worth it.

I still do Christmas cards though, but not to friends/colleagues at work. I do get them all a little gift at Christmastime (co-workers). I like giving gifts.

My wife and I mailed one of our xmas cards to a coworker and his wife. Other than that, I didn't give cards to anyone. I contributed money towards the presents for a few of my bosses.

I got some gifts from bosses though. I got a $50 best buy gift card, some chocolates, and some lotto tickets (I won $50!)

you know what, i stepped wayyyy back from the work social scene this year.... no one from my office got a card.... except my immediate senior guy, and that was from 3 of us and not just myself. with a bottle of whiskey.

i mailed 9 or 10 cards to family / friends.
