Do you guys use water filters?

There's one on our refrigerator.
I think water filters are sheer stupidity.

I put a filter on the line into the house - keep a coarse filter in it to cut down the sediment. Was tired of dirt in the bottom of the toilet bowl sometimes, and brown bathwater.
I have a charcoal filter running to a small tap next to the sink that I use to get rid of the chlorine taste for drinking.

Britta filters are really good for making cheap vodka taste like expensive vodka...
