Do you guys think a 1/2 keg of beer will fit in the front seat of a 2 seater sports car?

I ordered a new keg this week and this time I opted to go with a 1/2 keg instead of the 1/6 kegs I have been getting before. However I drive a pretty small sports car - a 2008 Infiniti G37S.

I saw the dimensions are like 23" tall with a diameter about 16", but sometimes it is a lot harder to tell how shit will fit in the door of a car.

My only option in my car is to sit it in the front seat. It definitely won't fit in my trunk (and I have golf clubs in there anyways) and I'm pretty confident that I couldn't slide it into the back seat behind the front seats any way. My other option is to wait until the wife gets home tonight however it would be easier to just get it on the way home from work.

So what does ATOT think?

EDIT:

Oh shit just realized I have to stop home first either way, because I need to bring my empty keg to exchange for the new one. Either way though I could get this done before tonight at like 7:30pm.

EDIT 2:

Here's an image I found of the passenger side door. Hard to make out the size really though from the pic.

EDIT 3:

For more reference, this was the 1/6 keg in my front but it fit on the ground. And you can see it fits just fine, but it's not like there is a shitload of room. And I'm not trying to fit the 1/2 keg on the floor like that, I plan on putting it on my seat if I try to do it. The diameter on these is a little over 9" vs. like 16" for the 1/2 keg.

Yeah I also just realized that when I get home my son is probably going to be napping, and he'll be napping until like 4-4:15 probably. Then I have to drop him off at my wife's job for like 30 minutes because I'm going golfing at 5pm. After that is when I was going to borrow my wifes car to pick it up.

Guess I didn't really think this through very well lol. As long as I get it tonight it's fine though I guess.

Is it a convertible, cause in the movie PCU they just threw it on the roof and it nestled down nicely.

Updated OP with image I found. I think it will fit. I'll strap that badboy in as well so it doesn't roll around on a turn.

And updated again with previous keg in my car, although a 1/6 keg not 1/2.

Well it was mission success. It fit in but was awkward getting in there.

But holy shit, getting it out was another story. It was just me and I had to carry it inside and down a flight of stairs. But I managed to carry it taking a few breaks at certain spots. Next time I'm going to wait till my neighbor or wife is home to get it so i can have help carrying it to my kegerator.

Should have tapped it and had a few on the way downstairs. Lighter that way.

Query: Why would you buy a car without checking to make sure it can carry a keg first? In addition to cup holders, reliability ratings, stereo, seat comfort, road noise and all that crap that women are concerned about, men have an additional checklist. A proper car needs to be able to fit a keg in the front seat and at least a 300lb body in the trunk, otherwise pass.

It seems to fit in the picture, I don't see what the problem is. Just make sure it's stable so it does not bang around when you turn or stop. Probably not any different than a propane tank. My best time though is when I managed to put like 10 2x6's in my car. It was like a game of tetris trying to get those in. In that particular car the back seat did not come down, so I could not just slide them through the trunk. Also put a jackhammer in my car once. Those are surprisingly heavy, had to readjust the rear view mirror to compensate for the car being at an upward angle.

That picture is a 1/6 keg not a 1/2 keg. The 1/2 keg was way bigger than that but it fit. It didn't really rock either in the seat because it probably weighs like 170lbs. I only had 3 90 degree turns and I kinda put my hand on it to make sure it didn't rock anyways.
