I need a charger for my car to charge my Kyocera K612B. It would also be a bonus if it could charge my Motorola headset but it's not a requirement. The phone uses a charger that outputs 5.2V (420ma) while the headset charger outputs 5V (550ma). Both use Lithium batteries. So I would like it to be a "smart charger" with at least some sort of circuitry to keep from cooking the battery. The cell phone uses micro-USB while the headset uses mini-USB.

Again, the priority is to charge the phone, not the headset. Is there any good suggestions on how to do this? I suppose I could do the stock car adapter, but the thing is like $40 and I know that price has gotta be hyped up just like $70 for the computer connectivity kit.

EDIT: confused USB port needs. corrected and explained now.

The car charger for your phone is less than $7 on Ebay.
You don't list the model of your headset, so you are on your own there.

thanks for the link maud! The headset is a Motorola H500. As I said, lithium battery, mini-usb connector, and the charger outputs 5V at 550ma.

Your head set uses the same car charger as my Razr, but I can't find the spec for it, so I don't know if you can also use it for your phone.

The seller in my previous link sells it, but he doesn't say if it has the overcharging prevention. Email him & ask him if it does. If it doesn't, there are plenty of vendors on ebay that carry it. Look for one that sells both of them, so you can save on shipping.
