Keep copies of everything and some way get proof of your mail dates. Anyhoo, the tactic described above makes Logitech look bad - generally their marketing management will make it right.

I had slight trouble with Logitech...but nothing a call to their rebate center couldn't fix.

Wonder if he's tried that yet?

Zepper ... don't have the original biils or rebate forms anymore
as some rebates call for the bills or the UPC ... but since
Amazon.com made good on both rebates, with no quibble
whatsovever, I was satisifed ... But not with the rebate center
in Buffalo, NY which handles Logitech rebates. And yes, I did
call their rebate center, before I decided to handle it thru Amazon.
They, of course, were unwilling to do anything about it..

They're rebate center must have changed....they are now handled through El Paso, TX as are most rebates.

Well, if you don't make copies of everything you submit, there's no help for you. That's about all I use my scanner for - copying rebate materials. Glad I got it for a song on Flea Bay...

Having a copy is sometimes useless, as most times they also want
the Original UPC from the package ... And if Logitech is now handled
out of El Paso, Texas, that might be a good thing. Perhaps they had a
large amount of complaint about the operation in New York. But I am
happy that Amazon makes good on rebates that are shown on their
website when you make a purchase.

First, what's w/ your terrible spelling and grammar?

Second, what do defective parts/ignored emails have to do with getting your rebates?

Third, are you active in documenting your rebates and calling the rebate centers when you don't receive any? If you aren't, you should, b/c many times you will be able to claim your rebates that haven't come in yet if you have the proper documentation.

But if they say that they didn't receive your rebate, typically saying you have a photocopy of the materials you mailed in is enough.

They know that you wouldn't have the original because you originally mailed it in.

Hopefully you now know to photocopy everything you send in.

I've gotten pretty much every rebate I've sent out for. I think i'm like 5/5 or something.
I usually wont buy something unless I'm willing to pay the price without the rebate though.

I've never had trouble with rebates. You just have to make sure to read the fine print, make copies, highlight the things on the receipt that are rebate worthy. Anything to make the processor's job easier.

Never had a worst - I've always gotten my check without having to contact the company.

The best: bought 2 Tamron lenses, one from Beach Camera and one from 7th Street Photo, sent the rebate in and had a check in my hand in about a week.

Never lost a rebate.

ONly had to chase twice.

One of those resulted in a double $150 rebate - one from the rebate house and a second from the company due to the 4 month delay.

First of all I never buy anything with a rebate that I wouldn't be satisfied of if I didn't get the rebate.

Second, for anything more then $10 I send it in via certified mail & I make copies of everything ... the only company to shaft me in recent years was Creative Labs who burned me out of $15 back on my last X-Fi.

I AGREE WITH THE FOXCONN. I bought a mobo and it was 29.99 AR... I'm STILL WAITING. ARGH! I'm out 30 bucks!

Wow. :Q

I have submitted roughly 100 rebates to Staples and have never ever had a single issue. Are you doing the online EZ-rebate, or standard snail mail rebates? You must be doing something wrong or exaggerating if you've *never* got a Staples rebate.

I've never had a problem with getting my rebates. I may not have liked how long it took to get them but I've always received them.

I have never been burned on a rebate. Had to make a couple of phone calls about ones that were very slow in making their way to me, but always got my $ in the end.

I have done a pretty significant number of rebates over the years, a guesstimate would probably put me somewhere between 75-100... I have been burned on exactly one rebate, from Best Buy. It was a rebate for $30 for a dlink wireless router. They said they mailed the first check and it was never received. They said they would mail another. Never received that one either, and when I called back again, they said it now past the time (6 months) they would issue a check and I was SOL... I was so pissed I could not believe it...

Filed a complaint with the state attorney general but never got resolution on it. I have never paid retail for a single thing from Best Buy since, and generally only buy something if its an especially good deal (loss leader or some such thing), and generally try and price match there ads at another retailer if at all possible.

I had already had a strong dislike for BB, but Death to Best Buy has been my motto ever since then...
