I went to a local club called the Funny Bone and saw a comedian named Heywood Banks.

I swear I haven't laughed that hard in my life.

Great time

I think the Funny bone is actually a regional chain. It may even be national.

I'm near Toledo, OH...

Not a place of major entertainment... but I did go see
Tommy Chong (of Cheech & Chong fame) a couple of times
that he's been to the local comedy club.

Good act... but the second time I saw him, his act was
pretty much the same material as the first time I saw him.
And there was a couple of years in between those
appearances. ::shrug::

I saw the guy that does those Fleet Bank commercials with Nomar Garciaparra and Derek Jeter, at the Gotham Comedy Club in NY. His name is Jim Gaffigan.

I saw Jay Leno at a comedy club in Hermosa Beach, CA before he started hosting the tonight show and he had me in tears. He would rip on people in the audience so hard, I had no idea he did that, but he was really good talking with the audience.

I saw Stephen Wright here in Las Vegas last year and he was funny, dry humor, but funny.

I saw Robin Williams in a small comedy club in San Francisco with my dad in '82 (?) and he was funny, all off the cuff, and he is pretty hung up with sex related topics.

Sam Kinneson, what a waste of time that was, but I understand he was pretty drugged out at the time. It was a few years before he was killed. Won those tickets on a radio show, so no money lost, cant really complain.

I saw Jerry Seinfeld last May. I didn't think he was very funny but the guy that opened for him was hilarious. I wish I remembered his name.

Went to the Comic Cellar in Manhattan a couple of years ago. Saw Dane Cook (he was friggin hilarious), some guy I've seen on TV a few times (forgot his name) and Dave Attel, who was so drunk (because he went on last) he could barely get his jokes out. He was just like "scotch....good" and leaning up against the wall. It was amusing in it's own right, but not the way you would expect a comic to be.

Mitch Hedbergh (sp?) at the DC Improv. Best standup performance I've ever seen. On a side note, after his performance the night before I saw him, Chris Rock showed up unexpectedly and did an hour or so of standup for the audience. Anyway, Mitch Hedbergh (he's a stoner-looking guy, but is actually very witty) is touring again this spring, so you might want to check him out.

Yeah, I saw Mitch Hedberg last month at the Punchline in Atlanta. Man, he's great.
