One of my female coworkers called out another over his blatant favoritism of attractive women. He acknowledged it with no remorse...lol. I find it ironic since he is black and recently called me out when I axed him how do bail bonds work. When I interjected with the contradiction of his, he had no meaningful retort and just said stop being an instigator...lol

I think there have been plenty of studies that show conclusively that people treat good looking people better than ugly ones, and that they believe them to be smarter / more capable than ugly people regardless of the actual facts.

That's just a function of evolution. How we act on that bias (or whether we're aware of it) is the part we control. I try to treat everyone the same.

At one of my old jobs I happened to overhear someone saying that if they wanted me to really get on a task immediately then they should get a certain cute girl who worked there to ask me to do it. I always tried to prioritize things fairly, but had to stop and ask myself if that was true. I came to the conclusion that it was. I guess I'm a sucker for a pretty face.
