Does anyone have any idea what it means if you often get tired when you have to read a book? I was just reading this book on beginning programming and I just started to get really tired.

It depends on the book, obviously. I generally read non-fiction books, so the feeling of empowerment from newly assimilated knowledge generally keeps me awake.

Yeah I usually read with my contacts on. And I'm near sighted meaning I can only see good near. I know I should not be wearing my contact lens while I read up close but I can't help it. I can't take them off just to read :(

Most likely it means the book is either boring as hell, or requires a heightened awareness to comprehend, which can tire you out over a period of time.

try reading 'issues in teaching numeracy in primary schools' I fall asleep after an hour of reading those, whereas I can spend 10-12 hours solid on something I enjoy.
